![]() ![]() This review provides an overview of the habitat, classification, phytochemistry, chemical constituents, extraction and isolation of bioactive compounds, nutritional and pharmacological potential with pre-clinical and clinical studies of different Cactus species. For this reason, numerous species under this family are becoming endangered and extinct. Recent scientific investigations suggest that cactus materials may be used as a source of naturally-occurring products, such as mucilage, fiber, pigments, and antioxidants. In the last regard, they have been used in traditional medicine for eras by the ancient people to cure several diseases. Cactus species are used for a variety of purposes, such as food, fodder, ornamental, and as medicinal plants. They have long fascinated the attention of the scientific community due to their unusual biology. ![]() 9 Department of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods, Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo, Culiacán, Mexico.Ĭactus species are plants that grow in the arid and semiarid regions of the world.8 Department of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods, Cátedras CONACYT-Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo, Culiacán, Mexico.7 Bioorganic Chemistry Laboratory, Facultad de Ciencias Básicas y Aplicadas, Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, Cajicá, Colombia.6 Department of Biotechnology, College of Engineering and Technology, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Kalinga Nagar, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.5 MED - Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development, Universidade do Algarve, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Campus de Gambelas, Faro, Portugal.4 Institute of Biology, College of Science, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.3 College of Medicine, University of the Philippines Manila, Manila, Philippines.2 Department of Food Science & Biotechnology, Dongguk University-Seoul, Goyangsi, Republic of Korea. ![]() 1 Research Institute of Biotechnology & Medical Converged Science, Dongguk University-Seoul, Goyangsi, Republic of Korea. This is due to the fact that some of the TurnTex products are bottled from bulk packages. TurnTex products can be sold in non-original packaging. Wood colour will also have an effect on the final product. Hard woods will require more dye than soft woods. Just keep in mind that it takes a lot more dye than you think to get good colour in most woods. If it is too dark, add clear ImpResin90 to your mix. After cured, cut in half lengthwise to see what the colour inside looks like. Then run a sample batch with the wood you plan to do to completion. Add the dye to the resin in a jug and shake vigorously. Recommend starting out with a ratio of 30g of dye per 4kg of ImpResin90. It will not work with casting resins such as Alumilite Clear or polyester and epoxy resin. Please note: Cactus Juice dye is only for use with stabilizing resin. ![]() Cactus Juice Stabilizing Dyes are not meant to replace Alumilite Dyes but are mainly to fill in the gaps where Alumilite Dyes can fall short. The 100% liquid dyes will not settle over time and will help you achieve some of the really bright colours that are just not possible to be achieved with Alumilite Dyes. These Cactus Juice Stabilizing Dyes are designed specifically for use with stabilizing resin. Add bright, vibrant colour to your stabilising resin. ![]()
